About Tigerdo

Tigerdo judo academy uses the traditional japanese art of judo to give people physical confidence and fitness. We have many black belt instructors, both male and female, who can provide quality tuition in a safe and friendly environment.

An emphasis is placed on tailoring training to suit individual needs - whether it be competition, grading or self confidence. All grades of student are accommodated and people of all levels of physical stature and fitness may be catered for.

Tigerdo was formed by Terry Young, one of Australia's most highly regarded coaches and he remains the head coach of the club. Terry's son Heath, an Athens Olympic representative, also trains and instructs at most club training sessions. Our club has an outstanding record in competitive Judo and is represented in most State and National teams.

Our Club welcomes new members of any skill level - from beginner to black belt. We also encourage visiting players to join us for a training session at the club if you are away from your home dojo. Information on training times can be found here.
